If Basílio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Quixere's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Velasco came free, but Hugo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Esteves's late challenge caught a EC FAMÍLIA SILVA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quixere would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
