Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edinho Vander kicked off to start the match. In the 9th minute Baltasar Lope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Afonso Valle notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Novos's Vítor Marinho. Vítor Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute of the match Marcus Netto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Marinho skillfully saved the ball. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Baltasar Lope sped through Novos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vítor Marinho. The supporters of Pimental booed when Novos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Novos's Vítor Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Mendes in the 22nd minute of play. The Pimental fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Pimental's Baltasar Lope looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vítor Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Lope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Lope in the 31st minute of play forced Novos's goalkeeper Vítor Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Baltasar Lope sped through Novos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vítor Marinho. After 36 played minutes Novos got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Mendes. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Lope's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Marinho was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. If Baltasar Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Baltasar Lope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novos's Vítor Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Guilherme Mendes struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Vítor Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pimental. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pimental's Luiz Guilherme Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pimental's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nildo de Sena in the 60th minute. After taking down the ball on Pimental's corner Nildo de Sena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Marinho quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Baltasar Lope sped through Novos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vítor Marinho. A collision led to Pimental getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Afonso Valle hit a great ball. Edinho Vander hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Marinho having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Baltasar Lope managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pimental's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Lope was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Marinho. Novos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Ezequiel Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Marinho having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Novos's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Lope came free, but Vítor Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Baltasar Lope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vítor Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pimental's Luiz Guilherme Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pimental's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
