An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Thomás de Brito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Cruz in the 5th minute of play forced Coruripe's goalkeeper Adalberto Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Cordeiro having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Coruripe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Cosme to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Bocoroca's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Cosme came free, but Oscar Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bocoroca's Breno Prata got a free kick in the 17th minute. Adalberto Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Thomás de Brito sent off a good shot on target. Dorival Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Edu Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coruripe's Adalberto Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dorival Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oscar Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Coruripe booed when Bocoroca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleandro Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Donato in the 35th minute of play. If Hamílton Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Jaime Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tião Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Coruripe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Eger to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamílton Cosme to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorival Donato in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Cordeiro saved Bocoroca from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Edu Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorival Donato succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 60th playminute. Hamílton Cosmes short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Oscar Cordeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oscar Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Cosme in the 66th minute of the match. Bocoroca's Oscar Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Cosme in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Borges during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
