Telmo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marcus Araújo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Fausto AD's zone, Marcus Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Guedes came out of the goal and Marcus Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vivaldo Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivaldo Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredo Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Telmo Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for gatewaysun. Alfredo Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Alfredo Pimenta in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Marcus Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, gatewaysun's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Secco came free, but Leonardo Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Marcus Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Pimenta got in the 96th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Telmo Guedes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded gatewaysun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fausto AD.
