Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Narciso Fernandez started the match with the kick off. Narciso Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Anselmo Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vivaldo da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Aruana SC's Raí Barral got a free kick in the 15th minute. Doriva Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel de Queirós having to make a save. The supporters of Buracica SC booed when Aruana SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Aruana SC defense, José Vítor Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel de Queirós. The Aruana SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel de Queirós should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, José Vítor Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buracica SC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Aruana SC's zone, Abelardo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel de Queirós came out of the goal and Abelardo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute José Vítor Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Aruana SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Miranda came free, but Abel de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, José Vítor Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buracica SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vivaldo da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buracica SC's protests and gave Vivaldo da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Buracica SC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo da Fonseca. 79 minutes into the match, Aruana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Neto came free, but Abel de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Abelardo Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Neto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Abel de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buracica SC. Aruana SC's Abel de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Aruana SC from getting a goal against them. Abel de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Neto in the 89th minute of the match. José Vítor Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel de Queirós having to interfere. The Aruana SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Buracica SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
