Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abelardo Neto started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Abelardo Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Cunha was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and José Vítor Miranda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Miranda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Cafu Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. gatewaysun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buracica SC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Leonardo Cunha, was totally fooled by Buracica SC's Doriva Quadros, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo da Fonseca during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Buracica SC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo da Fonseca. Leonardo Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Neto in the 17th minute of play. When Walmir de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored gatewaysun's protests and gave Walmir de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Walmir de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Marcus Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abelardo Neto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. Anselmo Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by gatewaysun's Marcus Araújo. But to his dismay, Marcus Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alfredo Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. gatewaysun's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Anselmo Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Araújo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Buracica SC's zone, Alfredo Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Alfredo Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abelardo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo da Fonseca in the 56th minute of play forced gatewaysun's goalkeeper Leonardo Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcus Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the game, José Vítor Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Leonardo Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rubens Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubens Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to gatewaysun getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. After 68 played minutes gatewaysun got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Barbosa. Anselmo Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Araújo in the 74th minute of the match. With 79 minutes on the clock, Sebastião Carioca commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. gatewaysun:s Leonardo Cunha showed great skill when he stopped Doriva Quadros:s penalty. The supporters of Buracica SC booed when gatewaysun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Marcus Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmir de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th match minute, gatewaysun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, gatewaysun's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Miranda came free, but Leonardo Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buracica SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
