The referee ignored Angola SC's protests and gave Remo Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. Remo Catarinense hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Durvalino Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durvalino Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelsinho Baiano having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses de Lara got free with Nelsinho Baiano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th match minute, Aconcágua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Durvalino Valle struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Nelsinho Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angola SC. The goalkeeper, Nelsinho Baiano, was totally fooled by Angola SC's Edgard Soares, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 36 minutes into the match, Angola SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Barros came free, but Donato Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinícius Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Donato Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Donato Borges came out of the goal and Vinícius Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jânio Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Donato Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aconcágua. If Vinícius Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ulysses de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Angola SC fans jumped to their feet.
