The supporters of Vitorino booed when Rifaina AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Vitorino's Cícero Sabóia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 13 minutes into the match, Rifaina AD's goal looked a bit too open when Guto de Alcântara came free, but Léo Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Guga Gonçalves made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Ademir Saraiva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ademir Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Gonçalves having to interfere. If Emerson Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rifaina AD's Léo Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto de Alcântara in the 35th minute of play. Léo Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Cardozo in the 38th minute of play. Gerson Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Mathias Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vitorino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rifaina AD the free kick. After 41 played minutes Vitorino got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Paiva. In the 43rd minute, Cipriano Garcia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guto de Alcântara to make the kick off. 66 minutes into the match, Vitorino's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Saraiva came free, but Guga Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Vitorino got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Catarinense. With 74 minutes on the clock, Ademar Lopez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 73 minutes into the game, one of Vitorino:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lucas Moreira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Garcia in the 80th minute of play forced Vitorino's goalkeeper Guga Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vitorino's goalkeeper Guga Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Lucas Moreira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Gonçalves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ademir Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademir Saraiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Guga Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademir Saraiva's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Guga Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. Rifaina AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
