Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Célio de Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Léo Sena made a huge save. A collision led to Rifaina AD getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gerson Pinho hit a great ball. Léo Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio de Souza in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Itororo EC's Célio de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Léo Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Armindo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Armindo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Saraiva in the 26th minute of play. Ademir Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rifaina AD's Cipriano Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armindo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Saraiva in the 44th minute of the match. Itororo EC's Armindo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Melo in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Célio de Souza made the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Garcia struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Armindo Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rifaina AD. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio de Souza in the 62nd minute of play forced Rifaina AD's goalkeeper Léo Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Aníbal Aguiar made a precise shot to the right of Léo Sena. Rifaina AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 69th minute, Gerson Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After having played for 74 minutes, Gerson Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rifaina AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Célio de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Ramos made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ademir Saraiva sent off a good shot on target.
