Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Tebaida's zone, Cesinha Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Vergílio came out of the goal and Cesinha Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Quimami's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho da Costa. Cesinha Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Júlio Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tebaida's Júlio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Veloso in the 9th minute of play. If Kauan Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Quimami got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha de Medeiros. Bruninho da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Júlio Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Sebastião Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cesinha Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quimami's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruninho da Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fernando Rosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Cesinha Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Pires in the 36th minute of play forced Tebaida's goalkeeper Júlio Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Esteves in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hernani Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Júlio Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Veloso in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tebaida's goalkeeper Júlio Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélio Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesinha Pires got free with Júlio Vergílio in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelinho Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tebaida booed when Quimami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quimami's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tebaida's Júlio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Pires in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Quimami getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Cesinha de Medeiros hit a great ball. Júlio Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Cesinha Pires sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Veloso in the 93rd minute of play forced Tebaida's goalkeeper Júlio Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quimami eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
