The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Baviera's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo da Cunha came free, but Marcelo Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baviera's Marcelo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo da Cunha in the 5th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Patrick Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perivaldo da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Magno's goal looked a bit too open when Agenor Cardoso came free, but Matías Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenílson Abreu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Marcelo Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magno. After having played for 39 minutes, Perivaldo da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matías Maranhense didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Agenor Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Lenílson Abreu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Marcelo Pereira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Magno's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Meira came free, but Matías Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Perivaldo da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marcelo Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Baviera booed when Magno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lenílson Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Pereira having to make a save. The supporters of Magno booed when Baviera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Baviera's zone, Perivaldo da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Pereira came out of the goal and Perivaldo da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Tiago Gabriel Meira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baviera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magno the free kick. Tiago Gabriel Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Magno's Fernão Simões seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fernão Simões the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Magno protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fernão Simões had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Baviera a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geovânio Soares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Magno's Matías Maranhense. 3-0. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Lenílson Abreu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Baviera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
