Rafa de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Botelho in the 13th minute of play. Hélder Nogueira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelo Vander. If Betinho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Acesita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Hoffmann came free, but Rafa de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joacy AD's goalkeeper Hélder Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joacy AD's Hélder Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Joacy AD from getting a goal against them. Rafa de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Hoffmann in the 36th minute of the match. Natã Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa de Lara having to interfere. If Zeca Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rafa de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 48 minutes on the clock, Renan Paraense commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Acesita FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rafa de Lara had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Anísio de Toledo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Botelho to make the kick off. Zé Roberto de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Hélder Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acesita FC. 64 minutes into the match, Luís Gustavo Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélder Nogueira. Joacy AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Gustavo Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Acesita FC's Rafa de Lara got control of the ball when Adolfo Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Acesita FC's zone, Natã Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa de Lara came out of the goal and Natã Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Natã Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Joacy AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Botelho couldn't finish the play. In the 78thth minute of the game Natã Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acesita FC's Rafa de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Vander hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes, Frank Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joacy AD and the Acesita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frank Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Luís Gustavo Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Acesita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Baiano couldn't finish the play. After recieving a nice pass, Acesita FC's Marcelo Vander tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Acesita FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Joacy AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
