Fabrício Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Nico Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Rui Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fabrício Peres sped through Mirahy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nico Palmeira. Tostão Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nico Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Vágner Faustino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nico Palmeira. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Américo Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Paraibano in the 28th minute of play. Américo Palmeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Paraibano's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Fabrício Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Palmeira having to interfere. Vágner Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nico Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirahy's goalkeeper Nico Palmeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Faustino to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Banana EC's Fabrício Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Palmeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Peres in the 55th minute of play forced Mirahy's goalkeeper Nico Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Américo Palmeira made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Fabrício Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Juvenal Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perivaldo Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Américo Palmeira made a huge save. Vágner Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86th play minutes Fabrício Peres shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Nico Palmeira and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 90thth minute of the game Vágner Faustino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mirahy's Nico Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Mirahy's Thomás Alcântara got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Faustino in the 92nd minute of play forced Mirahy's goalkeeper Nico Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Palmeira having to interfere. If Juvenal Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Banana EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
