Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Limirio's Marcos Cavalcante started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Custódio Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalmo Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Guimarães was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Marcos Cavalcante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Cavalcante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Angelo Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Nogueira having to interfere. If Custódio Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Macuje AD's Custódio Brito in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limirio's goalie prevented a goal. After 21 played minutes Limirio got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Cavalcante. Custódio Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adalmo Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Custódio Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Adalmo Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Alvarenga in the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Custódio Brito made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Limirio's Adalmo Nogueira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Silva hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Severo in the 38th minute of play forced Limirio's goalkeeper Adalmo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macuje AD's Robinho Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Custódio Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalmo Nogueira having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Custódio Brito was the one to do the kick off. Valério Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Macuje AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Limirio's Róbson Valadares tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limirio's goalkeeper Adalmo Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Limirio's Adalmo Nogueira got control of the ball when Custódio Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Custódio Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalmo Nogueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Marcos Cavalcante was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. The supporters of Macuje AD booed when Limirio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Custódio Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Macuje AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Pena to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Róbson Valadares made a precise shot to the right of Vânderson Guimarães. Macuje AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Adalmo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Custódio Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Macuje AD's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Moraes came free, but Vânderson Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Brito in the 91st minute of play forced Limirio's goalkeeper Adalmo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Macuje AD's Custódio Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adalmo Nogueira. That made the score 2-3 after 93 minutes of play.
