Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Custódio Brito started the match with the kick off. When Custódio Brito came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Macuje AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Custódio Brito couldn't finish the play. Vânderson Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Sampaio in the 13th minute of play. Luizinho Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Custódio Brito sent off a good shot on target. Igor Maciel made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Monstros Sagrados FC's Paulão Vergílio. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macuje AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Macuje AD's Valério Antunes got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Monstros Sagrados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Vânderson Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jânio Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Custódio Brito in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizinho Magalhães saved Monstros Sagrados FC from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Paulão Vergílio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Macuje AD's Vânderson Guimarães. Vânderson Guimarães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson França in the 34th minute of play forced Macuje AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Macuje AD got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Dante. If Jânio Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão Vergílio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wanderson França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Macuje AD's Custódio Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizinho Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Macuje AD's Vânderson Guimarães got control of the ball when Jânio Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robinho Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Monstros Sagrados FC's Paulão Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Macuje AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christiano Alvarenga. A collision led to Macuje AD getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Angelo Dante hit a great ball. Jânio Sampaio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vânderson Guimarães firmly grabbed it by the left post. Romeu Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luizinho Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson França kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Monstros Sagrados FC's Wanderson França got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Macuje AD's Vânderson Guimarães got control of the ball when Wanderson França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Macuje AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Wanderson França scored to the left of an out of position Vânderson Guimarães, making the score, 0-2. Waldemar de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vânderson Guimarães having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Macuje AD's goalkeeper Vânderson Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio Sampaio. Macuje AD's Vânderson Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Alvarenga in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Monstros Sagrados FC's Paulão Vergílio got a free kick in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Macuje AD's Angelo Dante got a free kick in the 94th minute. Monstros Sagrados FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
