After a rather tough play, Bardo SC's Washington Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gerson Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerson Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Luiz Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tales Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tales Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Deivid Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Gravatahy's Juarês Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovani Tasso's late challenge caught a Gravatahy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovani Tasso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bardo SC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Geovani Tasso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Paiva in the 21st minute of play forced Bardo SC's goalkeeper Hugo de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hugo de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Murillo Paiva sped through Bardo SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo de Brito. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Paiva in the 35th minute of play forced Bardo SC's goalkeeper Hugo de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tales Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murillo Paiva went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Deivid Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Recife in the 56th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Gravatahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Pereira to maneuver through the defense. During the 58th minute of the match Gerson Mazza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gerson Mazza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 58 played minutes Gravatahy got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Mazza. Tales Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tales Recife came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Bardo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Recife couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Juarês Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Geovani Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gravatahy's Juarês Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durvalino Pereira during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Geovani Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bardo SC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tales Recife hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Juarês Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gravatahy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bardo SC for a fine match.
