Amadeu de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Neves in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Eritreia EC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Diguinho Corrêa hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Caracas FC's Dênis Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu de Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dênis Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Amadeu de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Neves in the 22nd minute of the match. Fernandinho Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Fernandinho Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Pontes in the 32nd minute of play. Eritreia EC's Amadeu de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Almeida in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Dênis Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caracas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Caracas FC's Romeu Tróia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amadeu de Castro. Eritreia EC's Eurico Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Almeida in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu de Castro saved Eritreia EC from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Victor Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Arnaldo Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caracas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Arnaldo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Eritreia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Batista to maneuver through the defense. If Arnaldo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dênis Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeu de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Neves in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Eritreia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In the 87thth minute of the game Dênis Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eritreia EC's Amadeu de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Eritreia EC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Victor Batista hit a great ball. Dênis Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dênis Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dênis Neves hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Caracas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
