The referee showed Durval Schmidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Afligidos booed when Dourada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jailson Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Víktor de Sena made a huge save. Wanderson Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes, Dourada's Tomé Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wanderson Miranda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dourada reached it. When Fiori Negri came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Afligidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Negri couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Dourada's Tomé Paiva got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Agenor Branco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Víktor de Sena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Arantes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Afligidos's Joélson Barral made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Víktor de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristóvão Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Miranda having to interfere. Diamantino Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Wanderson Miranda made a huge save. Wanderson Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Arantes in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Afligidos's goalkeeper Wanderson Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diamantino Fantini. When Joélson Barral came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Afligidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson Barral couldn't finish the play. If Joélson Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jailson Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Afligidos's protests and gave Jailson Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Afligidos's Jailson Aguiar got a free kick in the 98th minute. Wanderson Miranda was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gugu da Fonseca. Afligidos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
