Luzitana AD's Mathias Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mathias Chaves sped through Tormentinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Moraes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto de Alcântara in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luzitana AD! Cristiano Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Chaves in the 23rd minute of play. Luzitana AD's Jeremias Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Santos in the 27th minute of play. Renan Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Luzitana AD booed when Tormentinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Miguel Vaz from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Cristiano Moraes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some careless play in the Tormentinha FC defense, Wilson Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Moraes. The Tormentinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Moraes should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Chaves in the 39th minute of play. Mathias Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Moraes having to interfere. Wilson Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mathias Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the game, Wilson Vianna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cristiano Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristiano Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tormentinha FC's zone, Wilson Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Moraes came out of the goal and Wilson Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luzitana AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
