Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Humberto Meireles started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marquinhos Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Peixoto having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Christiano Nunes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mossoro's Bernardo Peixoto. Bernardo Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bernardo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christiano Nunes got free with Bernardo Peixoto in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Indio's Bernardo Peixoto threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Humberto Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Christiano Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Indio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano Nunes couldn't finish the play. Tales Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Martins in the 40th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovanni Moraes during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Indio booed when Mossoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Mossoro defense, Humberto Meireles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Peixoto. The Mossoro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Peixoto should have stopped the shot. Humberto Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bernardo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Moisés Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mossoro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indio the free kick. In the 68th minute, one of Mossoro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mossoro. After a rather tough play, Mossoro's Walmyr Paraíba got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 79 played minutes Mossoro got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Paraíba. Humberto Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bernardo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Indio's zone, Hugo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Lago came out of the goal and Hugo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mossoro getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Hugo Borges hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Mossoro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Moraes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Meireles in the 97th minute of play forced Mossoro's goalkeeper Bernardo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Indio players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
