Paxiuba's Fiori Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Meireles in the 6th minute of play. Mauro Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Lago having to interfere. Christiano Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes, Dé da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Indio and the Paxiuba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fiori Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Meireles in the 17th minute of play. If Christiano Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Indio fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Indio's Humberto Meireles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fiori Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Paxiuba's Felipe do Valle got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Mané do Vale sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paxiuba's Fiori Paraibano didn't even have to move. Indio's Christiano Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christiano Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Indio were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. Tales Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Mauro Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Fiori Paraibano managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Indio's Christiano Nunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mauro Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Lago having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Meireles in the 75th minute of play forced Paxiuba's goalkeeper Fiori Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tales Lago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 96 minutes, Mauro Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paxiuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Indio players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paxiuba from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
