Indio's Humberto Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Humberto Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Carlos Fernando Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Humberto Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Salina SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Indio were awarded a corner. Mané do Vale went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Indio's Mané do Vale to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Fernando Miranda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Christiano Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christiano Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Carlos Fernando Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Salina SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Indio were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Salina SC got a freekick which was hit by Hernani de Lara. Carlos Fernando Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Meireles in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Meireles during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Indio getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Humberto Meireles hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Meireles couldn't finish the play. Christiano Nuness short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Carlos Fernando Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
