The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiori Paraibano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Paxiuba's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Borges came free, but Fiori Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Loureiro in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Mauro Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Peixoto. Mossoro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bernardo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Paxiuba's Allan Cearense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mossoro. Eugênio Alagoano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eugênio Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Peixoto was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mossoro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
