Luís Fábio Veloso was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Diamantino Cardoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diamantino Cardoso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of DRAGÕES ALVIVERDES FC booed when Maracanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denílson Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luís Fábio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 18 in the game by Diamantino Cardoso from a close distance when the talented Luís Fábio Veloso managed to make a qualified save. Maracanu's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denílson Pena got free with Luís Fábio Veloso in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maracanu's Luís Fábio Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Maracanu from getting a goal against them. Gernando de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With his leg Luís Fábio Veloso managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when DRAGÕES ALVIVERDES FC's Diamantino Cardoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Denílson Pena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Luís Fábio Veloso made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Maracanu's zone, Diamantino Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Veloso came out of the goal and Diamantino Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Jean Paranaense made the kick off in the second half. Denílson Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rdth minute of the game Diamantino Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracanu's Luís Fábio Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. DRAGÕES ALVIVERDES FC's Diamantino Cardoso managed to work through Maracanu's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Diamantino Cardoso dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Gernando de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jean Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Luís Fábio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72ndth minute of the game Diamantino Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracanu's Luís Fábio Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Luciano Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DRAGÕES ALVIVERDES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maracanu the free kick. Luciano Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Luís Fábio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Pena in the 79th minute of play. Maracanu's Ademar Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diamantino Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Maracanu got a freekick which was hit by Iuri do Nascimento. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Paranaense during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jean Paranaense hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino Cardoso in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fábio Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the DRAGÕES ALVIVERDES FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
