The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Rosado got free with Dedê Faria in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júnior Valadares might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedê Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júnior Valadares ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Dedê Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulysses Marinho in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dedê Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Tormentinha's goalkeeper Dedê Faria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Rosado. In the 26thth minute of the game Enio de Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lastro EC's Clóvis Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Faria having to interfere. With a little luck, Tormentinha's Dedê Faria got control of the ball when Alex Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clóvis Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Lastro EC's Alex Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedê Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tormentinha's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ulysses Marinho was slow to take the kick. During this time Lastro EC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ulysses Marinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tormentinha's Dedê Faria did a great save. Enio de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Lago got free with Clóvis Cabral in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júnior Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dedê Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tormentinha's goalkeeper Dedê Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ulysses Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Monteiro in the 64th minute of play forced Tormentinha's goalkeeper Dedê Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedê Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Marinho in the 67th minute of play. Clóvis Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes Lastro EC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Monteiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Andrade in the 70th minute of play forced Lastro EC's goalkeeper Clóvis Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tormentinha getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Silas Maia hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Júnior Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lastro EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Tormentinha defense, Júnior Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedê Faria. The Tormentinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedê Faria should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Lastro EC booed when Tormentinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tormentinha's Hélio Lago got a free kick in the 84th minute. Júlio Monteiro took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedê Faria. Dedê Faria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 90 minutes into the match, Lastro EC's Alex Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedê Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Lastro EC's Ulysses Marinho in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tormentinha's goalie prevented a goal. If Alex Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
