Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jean Paranaense got the match started through his kick off. Maracanu's Luís Fábio Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Monteiro in the 4th minute of play. When Ulysses Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Lastro EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Marinho couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Hernani Magalhães threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lastro EC's Júlio Monteiro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 7 minutes into the match, Lastro EC's Júlio Monteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fábio Veloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 minutes of play, Lastro EC's Júnior Valadares made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Alex Rosado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fábio Veloso was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Ulysses Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Fábio Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maracanu were furious when Fernandinho Maciel was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maracanu! Ulysses Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fábio Veloso having to interfere. Claudinho Terra hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Alex Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Lastro EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Rosado couldn't finish the play. Alex Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Luís Fábio Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lastro EC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ulysses Marinho made the kick off in the second half. Ulysses Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fábio Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulysses Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Monteiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Luís Fábio Veloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lastro EC's Ulysses Marinho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Fábio Veloso. That made the score 0-3 after 60 minutes of play. If Ulysses Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-4 became the score in the 67th minute when Ulysses Marinho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Lastro EC booed when Maracanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lastro EC's Alex Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júnior Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Júnior Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lastro EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Fábio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Alex Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Lastro EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Rosado couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Ulysses Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Júnior Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracanu's Luís Fábio Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luís Fábio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ulysses Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Maracanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Lastro EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maracanu.
