But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Gaspar couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Palmas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when William Dionísio came free, but Baltazar Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Adalberto Linares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Pedro Luís Gaspar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When William Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Palmorindo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Dionísio couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Miguel Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltazar Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luís Gaspar went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Baltazar Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Soeiro in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Palmas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when William Dionísio came free, but Baltazar Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
