In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pranchada EC's goalkeeper Raúl Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dimosthenis Apostolakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Raúl Amaral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Vitinho Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pranchada EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimosthenis Apostolakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Jairo Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Pranchada EC's Osvaldo Vander tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Belchior Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Patamar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Arósio couldn't finish the play.
