Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nilson Sampaio kicked off to start the match. If Ramiro Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itacu's Percy de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Itacu from getting a goal against them. After having played for 7 minutes, Nilson Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilson Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Nilson Sampaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timbosal's Armandinho Hames was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Itacu's Percy de Moraes got control of the ball when Ramiro Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Itacu getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kléber Borges hit a great ball. Armandinho Hames came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Itacu's Nilson Sampaio. But to his dismay, Nilson Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ramiro Tinoco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Percy de Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 34 minutes of play, Itacu's Nilson Sampaio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armandinho Hames was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kléber Borges hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Nilson Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Armandinho Hames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Léo Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percy de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Léo Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Léo Marques made the kick off in the second half. If Eliézer Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percy de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Kléber Borges fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itacu's protests and gave Kléber Borges a yellow card for diving instead. Itacu's Percy de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Marques in the 67th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Timbosal's goalkeeper Armandinho Hames had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliézer Quirino. Armandinho Hames made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Eliézer Quirino sent off a good shot on target. Ramiro Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Percy de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armandinho Hames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Itacu booed when Timbosal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armandinho Hames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Sampaio in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Itacu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
