Marcus Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Matheus Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Columbia Paranaense F.C.'s protests and gave Matheus Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. The Columbia Paranaense F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Columbia Paranaense F.C.'s André Viana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Marcus Cerezo came out of the goal and Sílvio Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Columbia Paranaense F.C.'s Marcus Cerezo got control of the ball when Alfredinho Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Columbia Paranaense F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
