Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Olavo Paraibano made the kick off which started today's match. Luiz Paulo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Murillo Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Paulo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Luisinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luisinho Valle came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Soares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Valle couldn't finish the play. Luisinho Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Ramos having to interfere. The supporters of Macaroca booed when Soares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibúrcio Loureiro in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute, Tibúrcio Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisinho Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Olavo Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Oséias Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macaroca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soares the free kick. After a rather tough play, Macaroca's Oséias Diniz got a free kick in the 55th minute. Luisinho Valle's late challenge caught a Macaroca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisinho Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Soares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Luisinho Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Paulo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Soares's Dudu Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Paraibano in the 68th minute of play. Vicente Mesquita's late challenge caught a Soares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Macaroca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Luisinho Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Paulo Ramos. Macaroca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisinho Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Leandro Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Sampaio hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Macaroca's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Maia came free, but Luiz Paulo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luisinho Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tibúrcio Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Meireles having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Macaroca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Soares.
