Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Poker F.C's Marco Dantas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sandrinho de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cássio Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Waldir Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes Poker F.C got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Barbosa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Ferraz during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Poker F.C booed when Caru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Marco Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poker F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Caru getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Severino Magalhães hit a great ball. Jean Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belmiro Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Baiano having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fábio Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. Caru's Luiz Fábio Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Waldir Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Poker F.C's Gilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Peres in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Caru's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Quirino came free, but Cássio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Caru's Edvaldo Pirani got a free kick in the 67th minute. Cássio Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Poker F.C's zone, Waldir Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Amorim came out of the goal and Waldir Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marco Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Poker F.C booed when Caru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes, Jean Quirino made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caru's Cássio Baiano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
