In the 23rd minute of the match Dorival Andrade shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miguel Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Mesquita in the 25th minute of the match. If Dadá Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Ipomeia's Silas Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Koehler narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Tróia to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Urupu EC's Dadá Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Sampaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Maria Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Urupu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Gerber to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Ipomeia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Urupu EC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Américo da Rocha hit a great ball. Kaká Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Miguel Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Kaká Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipomeia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Silas Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ipomeia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silas Tróia couldn't finish the play.
