If Carlos Augusto Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acuarana's Carlos Augusto Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apito Final - FIM's goalkeeper Rubinho Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Tomás Correia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apito Final - FIM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acuarana the free kick. Ronaldão Senna, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 21 played minutes Apito Final - FIM got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Vale. After 22 minutes of play, Acuarana's Carlos Augusto Barros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubinho Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Apito Final - FIM's Bernardo Brasil threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manoel Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Acuarana's Bernardo Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Acuarana from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Hames was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acuarana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apito Final - FIM the free kick. After 38 played minutes Acuarana got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Hames. Manoel Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Apito Final - FIM players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Acuarana were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manoel Baptista was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Apito Final - FIM got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Correia. 55 minutes into the match, Apito Final - FIM's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Barros came free, but Rubinho Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Mazza made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Luciano de Souza sent off a good shot on target. Luciano de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rubinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubinho Mazza came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Acuarana's Luciano de Souza. But to his dismay, Luciano de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 66 played minutes Acuarana got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Hames. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Luciano de Souza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bernardo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Acuarana's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio de Sousa came free, but Bernardo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Augusto Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rubinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Acuarana booed when Apito Final - FIM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Manoel Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apito Final - FIM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apito Final - FIM's Luís Fábio de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Luciano de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acuarana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 94 minutes in the game, Luciano de Souza fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rubinho Mazza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Apito Final - FIM's zone, Luciano de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Mazza came out of the goal and Luciano de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Acuarana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Apito Final - FIM throughout the match.
