WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaoca the free kick. After 4 played minutes WBYRNE SPORT CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Pereira. After a defensive mix-up in WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's zone, Celsinho Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Palmeira came out of the goal and Celsinho Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itaoca's Magno de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Itaoca from getting a goal against them. Celsinho Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Palmeira having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Ezequiel Paraibano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 19 minutes into the match, WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Guedes came free, but Dráusio Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Itaoca's Celsinho Guedes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dráusio Palmeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Celsinho Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Palmeira having to interfere. WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's Dráusio Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Guedes in the 32nd minute of play. If Celsinho Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrézinho Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's Dráusio Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Nogueira in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráusio Palmeira was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Otávio Pereira got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, WBYRNE SPORT CLUB's Otávio Pereira got a free kick in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho Guedes to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Itaoca's Dráusio Palmeira threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Celsinho Guedes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 60 minutes into the game, Celsinho Guedes lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Dráusio Palmeira. Dráusio Palmeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Guedes in the 63rd minute. Dráusio Palmeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celsinho Guedes's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Manuel Guedes's late challenge caught a Itaoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes WBYRNE SPORT CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Guedes. Andrézinho Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Dráusio Palmeira made a huge save. Marcel Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Osvaldinho Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dráusio Palmeira made a huge save. In the 95th minute of the match Osvaldinho Alvarenga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dráusio Palmeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Paraibano in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno de Queiroz saved Itaoca from getting behind.
