Dalmo Linhares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cléberson Valladares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson de Carvalho in the 8th minute of play forced Sauva AD's goalkeeper Dalmo Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgílio Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho de Souza in the 9th minute of the match. Cojubim's Virgílio Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Souza in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sauva AD's zone, Rafinha Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Linhares came out of the goal and Rafinha Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Claudinei Zilles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cojubim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauva AD the free kick. A collision led to Cojubim getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Claudinei Zilles hit a great ball. Cléberson Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Manoel Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Linhares having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Jacinto Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cojubim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauva AD the free kick. The supporters of Sauva AD booed when Cojubim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Kléberson de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Kléberson de Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Sauva AD defense, Kléberson de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Linhares. The Sauva AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Linhares should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson de Carvalho in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Linhares saved Sauva AD from getting behind. Rafinha Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dalmo Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafinha Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Linhares having to interfere. Manoel Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Sauva AD booed when Cojubim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Kléberson de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rafinha Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cojubim's Rafinha Mendonça in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sauva AD's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Cojubim players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
