Rui Meireles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alex Viana hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Canhuma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Percos's Gernando Coutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walmir Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Canhuma's Walmir Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Bezerra in the 69th minute of play.
