Armandinho Botelho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Mário Albuquerque 10 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes, Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s Marquinhos Sarmento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mário Albuquerque came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tigre Brasilis F.C. reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armandinho Botelho in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mário Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovânio Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Albuquerque having to interfere. Elder Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elder Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elder Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Geovânio Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Linares in the 30th minute of play forced Sapucai EC's goalkeeper Mário Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder Lucas got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. João Francisco Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Marquinhos Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Adolfo Amorim struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Glauco Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sapucai EC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Sapucai EC's João Francisco Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Tião Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sapucai EC and the Tigre Brasilis F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tião Campidelis hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Armandinho Botelho scored 2-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mário Albuquerque, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sapucai EC booed when Tigre Brasilis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovânio Linares, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Armandinho Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tigre Brasilis F.C. booed when Sapucai EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Geovânio Linares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mário Albuquerque skillfully saved the ball.
