Armandinho Botelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmundo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Linares in the 5th minute of the match. Cléber Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Pinheiro having to interfere. Armandinho Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Edmundo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Linares in the 13th minute of the match. Edmundo de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Botelho in the 14th minute of play. If Geovânio Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Armandinho Botelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmundo de Medeiros was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 21 minutes of play, Ibitiuna's Manfredo de Amaral made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glauco Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edu Negri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Glauco Pinheiro made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Betinho Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Tigre Brasilis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Sarmento. Ibitiuna's Zé Paulo Faustino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tigre Brasilis F.C.. When Betinho Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s protests and gave Betinho Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Betinho Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Ibitiuna's Edmundo de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Botelho in the 35th minute of play. Geovânio Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfredo de Amaral to make the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Armandinho Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitiuna's Edmundo de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmundo de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Botelho in the 59th minute of play. Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s Glauco Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Negri in the 68th minute of play. Vicente Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Pinheiro having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Ibitiuna got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo de Amaral. With his leg Edmundo de Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Tigre Brasilis F.C.'s Armandinho Botelho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Geovânio Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 89th minute, Zé Paulo Faustino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glauco Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Armandinho Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armandinho Botelhos short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Edmundo de Medeiros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
