Pedro Paulo de Andrade, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fábio de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Carvalho in the 37th minute. Maicon Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fábio de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maicon Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio de Queirós having to interfere. Maicon Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Cruz to make the kick off. In the 84th minute Cláudio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Luiz Gustavo Vasconcelos made a precise shot to the right of Wilton Sanches. Goncalves SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.
