Filipe Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the game, Ipuiuna SC's Kauan Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arreios FC's goalkeeper Filipe Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arreios FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Falcão Braga shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Arreios FC's Filipe Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Trigo in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute, Ciro Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Filipe Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arreios FC's Renatinho Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diogo Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Evaristo de Queirós made a huge save. After 39 minutes of play, Ipuiuna SC's Ciro Trigo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filipe Cordeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kauan Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Arreios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Senna to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Messias struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Evaristo de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arreios FC. Renatinho Batista took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaristo de Queirós. Evaristo de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Ciro Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Filipe Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Trigo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Cordeiro saved Arreios FC from getting behind. Evaristo de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Batista in the 80th minute of play. Sebastião Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Ipuiuna SC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Bastos. Renatinho Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Evaristo de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Arreios FC's Diogo Messias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
