With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Vítor de Queirós in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo de Queirós saved Ipuiuna SC from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Cristiano Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ipuiuna SC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Hílton Jacinto hit a great ball. Argola's Claudinho Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Couto made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Kauan Toledo sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

José Vítor de Queirós received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Evaristo de Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but José Vítor de Queirós slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. The coaching staff of Ipuiuna SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rui Bertassi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Bastos during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Argola players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
