In the 13th minute, Vítor Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Filipe Cordeiro. Arreios FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With an all-out effort, Munhoz's Filipe Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitinho de Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Munhoz's Vitinho de Brito in the 21st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Filipe Cordeiro was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Arreios FC through an amazing save. Vítor Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Filipe Cordeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arreios FC's goalkeeper Filipe Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vítor Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitinho de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Cordeiro having to interfere. Diogo Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Cerezo having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renatinho Batista was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Arreios FC's Sebastião Massa got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Vítor Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Munhoz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Quintal couldn't finish the play. After having played for 67 minutes, Vitinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Munhoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitinho de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renatinho Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renatinho Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vítor Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
