Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) GUARULHOS's Tadeu Borges started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caetano Vieira was a little too slow when Marcinho Fernandes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Terras SS getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Belchior Zonta hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Terras SS's zone, Marcinho Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano Vieira came out of the goal and Marcinho Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcinho Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Willian Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Terras SS's goalkeeper Caetano Vieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willian Santana. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Marcinho Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUARULHOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcinho Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, GUARULHOS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Tasso came free, but Rubens Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubens Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rubens Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Rosa in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the GUARULHOS defense, Paulo Renato Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Seco. The GUARULHOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Seco should have stopped the shot. Tadeu Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Caetano Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, GUARULHOS's Willian Santana made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Paulo Renato Tasso made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Tadeu Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terras SS's Caetano Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Willian Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Willian Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GUARULHOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcinho Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, GUARULHOS's Tadeu Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Tadeu Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caetano Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 80th minute Paulo Renato Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcinho Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tadeu Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caetano Vieira having to make a save.
