Laerte Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Schmidt in the 3rd minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Sydney Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lajeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Soeiro in the 10th minute of play. The corner ended in Zé Carlos Travassos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Galáticos F.C's João Custódio did a great save. After 14 minutes, Waldemar Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lajeiro and the Galáticos F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lajeiro getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Waldemar Loureiro hit a great ball. João Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Loureiro in the 17th minute of the match. João Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natanael Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. João Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Galáticos F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Romero came free, but João Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. João Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lajeiro. After 46 minutes of play, Lajeiro's Natanael Romero made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Custódio was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natanael Romero to make the kick off. Natanael Romero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Lajeiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Galáticos F.C defense, Sydney Soeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Custódio. The Galáticos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Custódio should have stopped the shot. Waldemar Loureiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Lajeiro got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Loureiro. Marcel Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Sydney Soeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of João Custódio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nilton Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Soeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Custódio could save by the left post. Lajeiro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
