The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Lorenz FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Secco. Mário Vander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Donatello's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Clemente Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lorenz FC's Mário Vander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dionísio Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Romero having to interfere. When José Pedro Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pacatiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Donatello couldn't finish the play. Artur Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Clemente Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pacatiba's Dênis Romero got control of the ball when Dionísio Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Lorenz FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Donato Toledo hit a great ball. When Jano Damião fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lorenz FC's protests and gave Jano Damião a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pacatiba booed when Lorenz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dionísio Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Silvério Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Dionísio Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donato Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
