Luís Paulo Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Queirós in the 21st minute of the match. Sidney Barbosa took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal Maciel. Juvenal Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 29 played minutes Fábrica de Talentos Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Meirelles. Ingrata's Juvenal Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Barbosa in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Ingrata's Jean Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Paulo Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Queirós to make the kick off. Ingrata's Juvenal Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Ingrata from getting a goal against them. Jean Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute of the match Manfredo Arruda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Paulo Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Sidney Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josué Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Luís Paulo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jardel Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. If Josué Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
