In the 5th minute, Elias Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Botelho, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gonçalo Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Washington Terra's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 10th match minute, Feixes SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Terra to maneuver through the defense. When Washington Terra came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Feixes SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Terra couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Terra in the 16th minute of play forced New Zoeira's goalkeeper Gonçalo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Hugo Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Zoeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Feixes SC the free kick. Gonçalo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Terra in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, New Zoeira's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Terra came free, but Gonçalo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New Zoeira's Gonçalo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Terra in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to New Zoeira getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gerson Mello hit a great ball. Gonçalo Trigo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Amadeu Botelho. Arnaldo Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Fred Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feixes SC's Washington Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonçalo Trigo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Rodolfo Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. Washington Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Trigo having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Washington Terra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anísio Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Fred Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Zoeira. Gonçalo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Cavalcante in the 73rd minute of play. If Washington Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th match minute, New Zoeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Mello to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Rodolfo Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Feixes SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Washington Terra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonçalo Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 96th minute Rodolfo Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Cavalcante in the 98th minute of the match.
