Chamuscada's Zé Carlos Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Madureira in the 17th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Ademar do Nascimento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Carlos Furtado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Chamuscada's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Madureira came free, but Zé Carlos Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Carioca in the 43rd minute of play forced Chamuscada's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Paulinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulinho Salgado to strike the kick off in the second half. If Afonsinho Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Carlos Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Madureira in the 56th minute of the match. After 56 minutes, Durvalino Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chamuscada and the Tensu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Chamuscada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 58 minutes, Adhemar Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tensu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Augusto Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Décio Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Furtado having to interfere. Ramiro Pombal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonsinho Ferreira went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Aílton Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Carlos Furtado came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tensu FC's Aílton Carioca. But to his dismay, Aílton Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ramiro Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tensu FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
