Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rômulo Mattos got the match started through his kick off. Hortêncio Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Coutinho in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Enéas Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, MecX's Joel Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionísio Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edvaldo Damião might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dionísio Rosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvaldo Damião ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvaldo Damião kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dionísio Rosa. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Joel Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio Rosa having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rômulo Mattos in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Edvaldo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionísio Rosa made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Válbson Lopes sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Ruestao's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Seco came free, but Dionísio Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edvaldo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Maurício Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, MecX's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Coutinho came free, but Hortêncio Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Ruestao's Rômulo Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Rômulo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edvaldo Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Edvaldo Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Rômulo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Válbson Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MecX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruestao the free kick. In the 65th minute, Válbson Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Damião took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dionísio Rosa. Dionísio Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ruestao's Dionísio Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Seco in the 71st minute of play. Hortêncio Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rômulo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hortêncio Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Ruestao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Dias to maneuver through the defense. MecX were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ruestao for a fine match.
